17th Dec 2010 North West Cross Country Championships-Warning

Tomorrows North West Cross Country at Gransha has been affected by the prevailing weather conditions and anticipated travel difficulties,consequently the advertised race programme has been modified by organisors City of Derry Spartans. NOTE: We don't advise anyone to travel any distance for the event. The roads around Derry-Donegal are treacherous! While the course is probably runable, it is the travel that is the problem. I know some runners will be complaining but this is for your safety!

An early morning inspection will determine if the Parkland course can be safely used---if not, and this is quite likely--a 2 Person Parlauf on the adjecent 1K Horseshoe Road Circuit will replace the Open 6K.

The U13/15 and17,s will also run over this circuit.... 1K/2K/3K All entry fees £1 Ribboned Medals for all finishers.

First (U13) race at 11 30am as per origional timetable! Parlauf at 12 noon! Parlauf entry £2 per athlete. Pairs will be ability graded at Entry!

Race HQ moved to Ballycann House on Gransha Site(opposite Soccer Pitch) Sorry no showers available on site but At St.Columbs Park Leisure Centre,Limavady Rd.

Post Race Refreshments are available....FREE!!!
