--------------------------
Currently based in Florida, local sprint star Jason Smyth showed
just how much sun and warmth can boost the fast men as last
weekend he scorched to impressive new 100m/200m PB,s of 10.41s
and a quite brilliant 21.09s for the longer sprint. He produced
these magnificent early season runs at a meeting in Tampa
and looks set for a really impressive 2010 season. Coach Stephen
Maguire,in Florida with his protogee will certainly have been
impressed and encouraged that the upcoming European U23 championships
could very well yield significant returns for the Eglinton
Flyer!!
