Danea's Double Irish Masters Gold Headlines Indoor Impact
For Spartans
Congratulations to a posse of our track/field
specialists who started 2012 in fine style with significant
Indoor performances in Nenagh and Jordanstown over the weekend.
Danea Herron maintained her premier position
in Irish Masters championship competition with DOUBLE GOLD
in Nenagh on Sunday....Danea was a convincing winner of the
F50 200m and Long Jump titles, posting 34.46s and 3m 62cm
to bring home more National level silverware for the trophy
cabinet!! Great job Danea!
We also had a strong presence in Jordanstown on Saturday where
Mary Devlin and Claire Dougherty showed well in the Womens
Jumps; Peter Fryer and Michael Doherty did likewise in the
Mens and among others Ciara Armstrong, Mark McGarvey , Jack
McCloskey and Michael Cartin looked good.
Mary was particularly busy taking in three different events....60m,
Long Jump and Triple Jump. Jenny O Brien, Gemma Thompson,
Emma McKay,Scott Graydon and Ruaidhri O Neill also wore the
red vest with distinction.
