Update on the coaching courses. Basically, not what we wanted but it'll have to do for now.

Level 1 on Sat 27th Sept in Omagh £40

Level 2 on 4th and 5th Oct Omagh again, also to complete level 2 you have to do an additional 1 day event specific course and 6 weeks of 1 hour per week in a school or some such. All details on the web.

There will also be a level 1 course on the 13th Dec in Limavady (Those in Belfast seem to think that is in the City....)

After both myself and Noel have gone through a number of (wasted) phone calls there will not now be a course in templemore, this year anyhow!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have asked Jenni Black(NI athletics) to provisionally book 5 from our club in for the level 1 in Omagh. However each individual needs to download and fill out the form themselves. Link below

Myself and Dara are going to do the level 1 in Omagh and I intend to do the level 2 as well. After these courses it will involve much more to get qualified.

18th August - Well done to Spartan Declan Reid on winning the Scott & Gault 10 Mile Road Race in 56.17.

13th August - Level City of Derry Mens Team finished 2nd in tonights 3000m team race in Belfast. Collie 9.05, Pajo 9.40, Decky 9.47. Well done lads.

26th June - Level 1 coaching course will now take place in September 08.

Reminder to all club members to wear their club vests in local competition.

Anyone interested in doing a level 1(Basic) athletics coaching course in Derry let me know(must be over 16). - Grants available from the Sports Council.
