Does it matter that I’ve never done any athletics before?
Absolutely not. Norwich Union star:track is an athletics programme that is open to
any person between the ages of 8 and 15 regardless of experience, ability, gender or
ethnic background.
What if I already take part in athletics activities?
Then Norwich Union star:track is an opportunity for you to develop your
skills further with UK Athletics qualified coaches. Throughout the scheme
there will be the opportunity for you to gain experience in events that you
may not have tried before and also pick up some great coaching tips for
your future athletics activity.
How do I apply?
Either by post in advance or register at 10:00 am on Monday, July 5.
What should I wear?
All you need to take part in Norwich Union star:track is a pair of shorts,
a T-shirt, trainers and a tracksuit or something warm to put on if it gets
cold! Don't forget to bring a lunch and a drink.
What is Norwich Union star:track?
Norwich Union star:track is an excellent introduction to track and field
events for people aged 8 to 15. star:track schemes are designed to bring
together all forms of athletics in what has proved to be an immensely
enjoyable and busy holiday activity. It is an excellent chance to meet new
friends, have a go at a variety of athletics activities and learn correct
techniques with the aid of specialist coaching.
